A Word From Jim

During my 33 years living in Mount Pearl, our community has seen significant growth and change. Mount Pearl continues to be a leader in environmental initiatives, urban planning and programs and services for our residents. Such achievements are a result of the collective efforts of successive councils and the many community groups striving to create our vibrant community. During my tenure on Council, I have worked with our Sport Alliance, our Senior's Independence Group, our Youth Action Team, our Chamber of Commerce and other community groups to continue our growth and prosperity. The past 2 years have seen major development in our City with continued business growth; ongoing housing developments; street upgrading; a, $40 million investment into new recreational facilities and continued provision of efficient and top quality municipal services to our residents. Our City's future is very bright and promising. It has been my pleasure to serve as your Councilor since 2007. I will work hard to ensure ongoing progress for our City and to continue providing strong representation for my fellow citizens around the Council table.
